Orders are packed within one to two business days. Standard delivery then takes five to seven business days, and an express option is available at checkout. Delivery times to addresses outside New Zealand vary by destination, and the exact cost is shown before you pay.

Yes, we deliver to most countries. Because every fixture is packed by hand for its journey, international orders usually arrive within ten to fourteen business days, and the shipping cost is calculated at checkout.

As soon as your order leaves us, we email you a confirmation with a tracking number. You can also check the status of any order at any time from your account.

The more lights you buy, the less each one costs. Buy two or three of the same fixture and you save 10%, four or five saves 15%, and six or more saves 20%. The discount is applied automatically in your bag, so there is no code to remember.

Our fixtures are built from the materials used in traditional Japanese lantern making: rice paper, rattan, woven fabric and hand-finished timber. Because each shade is finished by hand, small variations in grain and tone are part of the character rather than a fault.

Paper and fabric shades suit warm-white LED bulbs, which stay cool and give the soft, candle-like glow these shades are designed for. We do not recommend high-wattage halogen or incandescent bulbs in any paper shade.

You can change or cancel an order within two hours of placing it. After that we have usually begun packing it and may not be able to make changes, so please contact us as soon as possible if something is wrong.

Paper and rattan are fragile, so every fixture is packed in a moulded insert. If yours still arrives damaged, send us a photo within 48 hours of delivery and we will replace it or refund you in full.

Dust paper and fabric shades with a dry, soft brush, and wipe rattan with a barely damp cloth. Keep every shade away from damp rooms and direct sunlight, both of which cause paper to yellow and warp over time.
